If you were at VMworld 2011, you probably listened in on a presentation or two at the Solutions Exchange theater. SHI had its own presentation slot on the first full day of the show, where I moderated a panel discussion with SHI execs.
Speakers included Thai Lee, Henry Fastert, and Rich Taggart; as well as a customer of ours, Jeff Vannest of LABVANTAGE Solutions Inc. I asked questions of our panel about SHI's new cloud services, and they discussed how it's built, how it works, how it's different, and how clients are already benefiting from it.
Our blogging team caught the presentation on video, which you can watch in three parts below. As those who attended will remember, we also gave away a few iPads at the end of the presentation. If that was you, make sure you watch part three to relive the glory of victory!

Going public with SHI's private cloud
The day we announced our cloud services offering at VMworld, I took a few minutes to answer questions about the big news from a member of our blogging team. We talked about what makes SHI's cloud technology unique, why it is a second-generation cloud service, the cost savings IT organizations will see with our cloud, and more.
I also shared some advice with IT leaders who aren't sure if their organization is ready to make the move to cloud computing. Watch my interview in full below, the next video in our VMworld series. And if you have questions I didn't address, just leave them in a comment below or email me.

Smile, you're on camera with SHI!
We promised more video from VMworld 2011, and it's time to deliver! Up first is a look at what the show was all about for SHI. First, we ambushed folks on the show floor to hear what they'd be taking back to their organizations from VMworld. Listen to their unscripted answers to our blogging team's questions.
Then check out sneak peeks of interviews with some of our executives, customers, and partners. And of course, don't miss the action we captured on the volleyball court.
Look closely, because if you were at VMworld this year you might be on camera! And stay tuned for full length interviews and presentations we'll be posting in the days to come.

Talkin' Cloud in The Cube at VMworld 2011
The SHI team is back at the ranch after a great week in Vegas at VMworld 2011. And while we put the finishing touches on a few videos we shot at the show, we'll whet your appetite with this one -- my interview with SiliconANGLE and Wikibon.org in The Cube. Those of you who were lounging in the "grass" outside the Solutions Exchange might have seen me recording this in the open air studio.
I spoke with John Furrier, founder of SiliconANGLE, and Dave Vellante, co-founder of Wikibon.org about SHI's approach to cloud services; the surprising things IT executives want in a cloud system; challenges IT leaders face today; and much more. Thanks John and Dave for the time! And keep your eyes on this space for more SHI video from VMworld.
